Here is something most of us don’t do everyday – shooting guns at an indoor gun range. Visit The Shooting Edge just off Blackfoot trail SE. This place is awesome! You can rent guns of many different models and calibers, from 9mm to high powered rifles.
How about playing a little Robin Hood. Shooting arrows at targets is a great way to spend a few hours and Calgary Archery Centre has made this possible in YYC. They have all the equipment for rent at their southeast Calgary location so all you have to do is show up.
8. Skiing, Snowboarding, Cross country Skiing or Bobsleigh
How about a day at Canada Olympic Park? This place has tons of fun activities such as skiing, snowboarding, skating and bobsleigh. We recommend you have a light lunch if you’re going to try that one out.
Weather you’re five or 105 you are sure to have a good time bowling. There are many great bowling alleys in Calgary but one of our favourites is at Chinook Mall. Visit Chinook Bowladrome and enjoy a great selection of food and drinks, and the alley is nice too!
10. Watch a Movie at a Cinema
How about just a simple night at the movies? Studies have revealed that movies make people happy, especially when viewed at a theatre. Sit back, relax and stuff your face with chocolate and popcorn. It doesn’t get much better than that. Chinook Cineplex also boasts an IMAX screen.
