RentZa’s 1st Annual Calgary Pet-friendly Halloween Costume Contest

It’s That Scary Time of Year …

Ghosts are scary. Goblins are scary. Zombies are scary. ME first thing in the morning before make-up and coffee is scary. But you know what’s really scary? How difficult it is to find pet-friendly rental accommodations in Calgary, that’s what!

RentZa is committed to the furry segment of Calgary’s population and the plight of their guardians who can’t find pet-friendly living accommodations. If you’ve read other posts on this blog, you’ll know that finding landlords who will allow pets isn’t easy. RentZa is working toward bringing together pet-friendly landlords with pet-owning tenants. We would love it if, in some small way, RentZa was able to be part of a grass-roots movement towards change.

To help raise awareness of this situation, RentZa is proud to announce its 1st Annual Halloween Costume contest for pets. Here’s how it works: Dress up your fur-child in their (well, let’s face it – your) favorite costume, and snap a photo. Quickly, before they’ve had a chance to tear it off. Go to RentZa’s Facebook page and follow the directions to upload the photo and enter the contest.

Entries will be accepted on Facebook from October 4, 2015 until midnight October 31, 2015. The photo that gets the most ‘LIKES’ wins (so you probably don’t want to wait until October 31st to get your entry in – unless you have 5,000 friends on Facebook and you can count on each and every one of them to ‘Like’ your pic … IMMEDIATELY!).

First prize is a $150 gift card for the Calgary Humane Society’s Pet Gear Store, and second prize is a $50 gift card for the Pet Gear Store. All purchases at this store benefit the 8,500+ homeless animals the Calgary Humane Society cares for annually.

Perhaps you can buy something nice for Fido or Fluffy to thank them for all their help. After all, you couldn’t have done it without them!
